Christmas is approaching with the mood to be in the red of the holidays and the ideas for creative occupation of the mind and not only, keep growing. Thus, the idea of glass brick decoration was born. Not just the space with glass bricks, but the decoration of the glass brick itself, inside and out. We will mainly talk about its interior decoration.
So how can we decorate a glass block inside? But of course, we'll have to drill it first! How? In a good mood and following the following steps:
- With the help of one diamond drill we carefully open the hole we want on the glass block, making sure that the point where the hole will be created is as much as possible in the middle of the side of the glass block. The movement of the drill should be perpendicular to the glass block, steady and unhurried.
- Along with the piercing, we should throw water on the point we are drilling, so as to avoid firing the drill and by extension breaking the glass block.
- After about 4-5 minutes, the glass brick will already be pierced and after we clean it with water inside and out and let it dry, it is ready to decorate!
We can place lights, gravel, sand, and even water inside the glass block. Nothing binds us, as long as of course what we will place fits through the hole we made. Then we can deal with the decoration of the outside of the glass block. There are various ways, such as decoupage technique, vinyl stickers or even simple, painting and various others, that if you activate your creativity, the result will definitely be impressive!
