The most classic and economical way of building with glass blocks, in which special plastic guides (crosses and tuff) and special glue for glass blocks are used.

A joint (1 cm) is created between the glass blocks using the plastic guides, which are not removed after the end of construction. The material of the joint should be elastic and resistant to moisture and for this reason we use the special glue for glass blocks.

Basic instructions:

  • The wall and the floor should form a 90 degree angle.
  • Check with a spirit level and correct when necessary.
  • Once 5 rows of glass blocks are installed we either have to use end supports or wait 24 hours for the special glue to harden.
  • After the completion of the construction, we use grout for a thick joint.
  • The maximum dimension of a glass brick wall supported on only two sides is 2.40m high and 1.80m long.
