When thermal insulation and security requirements are increased, then the solution is the use of Skylux Window.
Underneath the usual skylight (dome or pyramid) is placed a special reinforced impact-resistant PVC frame, which has built-in either double 25mm super-insulating safety glass with excellent thermal insulation (Ug 1.1 W/m2.K) or cellular polycarbonate 25mm. (Ug 1.5 W/m2.K).
Combined with the appropriate base (PO30 EP100) the total thermal insulation that a SKYLUX WINDOW dome can offer can reduce the Urc value up to 0.45 W/m2.K.
The SKYLUX WINDOW dome can be openable (with a remote-controlled electric motor) or fixed (non-openable).
